Marguerite Casey Foundation Extends Unique, Live Multi-city Event to Hundreds Online

September 7, 2008 - Online Video Service, Inc. (OVS) announced today that it had enabled the Marguerite Casey Foundation to substantially broaden the reach of an innovative, simultaneous multi-city conference yesterday to hundreds of online participants. The event, part of the foundation's Equal Voice for America's Families campaign, drew 15,000 attendees at venues in Birmingham, Chicago and Los Angeles, and an additional 500 participants in real time via the Internet.

In a first of its kind approach, the campaign's September 6 event connected participants all at once via satellite and webcast, in part due to the Internet broadcasting solutions provided by OVS. The Equal Voice for America's Families campaign aims to lay the groundwork for a family-led movement for social change. At the event, the campaign called on the nation, lawmakers and the next U.S. President to adopt a comprehensive approach to addressing the issues and challenges that families face.

"We are proud to play a part in helping the Foundation and its campaign," remarked OVS Chairman and CEO Tim Treanor. "Through webcasting, the campaign significantly extended the geographic scope and impact of this unique, multi-city event to an online audience the size of one convention site, at a fraction of the cost."

The in-person and online audience consisted primarily of families and legislators from around the country. Online participants were able to complete a poll aimed at collecting data about their opinions on policies and challenges facing American families today.

Due to the unprecedented success of the event, the foundation is considering modifying its public involvement strategy to include more Internet broadcasting. An archive of the webcast is at: www.equalvoice2008.org/page/convention_sept6.html#webcast
