April 24,
2009 - Online
Video Service, Inc.
(OVS) announced today
that the company’s CEO
Tim Treanor will present
on the subject of using
webcasting for
government transparency
at the forthcoming
National Association of
Government Communicators
(NAGC) “Communications
School” three-day
conference that ends
today in Orlando,
Florida. Treanor will
deliver remarks today
entitled “Transparency
in the Age of Obama:
Using Webcasting to Get
Ahead of the Curve.” He
will outline how
government
communications officers
can utilize
cost-effective
technologies like
webcasting to
demonstrate transparency
and accountability.
“The Obama
Administration is
ushering in a number of
changes that will
revolutionize how all
levels of government do
business,” noted
Treanor. “Transparent
government and new
technologies like
webcasting are
cornerstones in the new
Administration’s
efforts.”
Treanor will brief
conference participants
on several key issues
regarding government
transparency and
webcasting:
- What transparent
government means to
the Obama
administration and
what changes and
mandates can be
expected in 2009
- How technology,
specifically
webcasting, can help
governments
demonstrate openness
and meet upcoming
federal requirements
- What tools are
available for
implementing
webcasting
procedures in
government agencies
- How Internet
tools like
webcasting can also
meet budget
requirements and
alleviate other
costs
Treanor’s address
will complement that of
Kevin Cate, former Obama
for America regional
spokesperson in Florida,
whose presentation “For
Transparency’s Sake”
will discuss the
benefits and best
practices of transparent
government
communication.
